happy thanksgiving day

Thanksgiving Day or officially is a major harvest festival in the United States. This holiday is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November annually. Thanksgiving Day is also known with other names like Thanksgiving, Turkey Day, and occasionally Black Friday. This holiday became a national day in 1863 during American Civil War and was proclaimed by Abraham Lincoln.

Giving thanks to God and family is what it’s all about on Thanksgiving. This is a time to be with loved ones and enjoy the bounties of harvest. The end of the year always makes me stop and think about the many blessings I’ve received and remember those who are no longer with us. There is so much to be thankful for, yet there are some things we just can’t ever have enough of.

Be thankful for what you have and what you can share with loved ones.

This year many people will sit down to a delicious thanksgiving meal with their family. As you enjoy the food and company this holiday, remember that not everyone is so lucky. And there are lots of ways for you to help.

Your local food bank is always accepting donations. They can take pretty much anything you have lying around your kitchen. From cans of beans to boxes of pasta, they’ll happily accept it all and get it to a family who needs it.

You could also make some meals for the homeless in your area. This can be made even easier by going with a group of friends or family members to cook the food together and then deliver it to shelters in your area or hand it out directly to the less fortunate on the street.

Finally, if you have any extra time this thanksgiving, volunteering at a soup kitchen or shelter can be an extremely rewarding experience. Just look online for volunteering opportunities in your town, and share what you have with those in need this thanksgiving.

Learn to make new dishes and improve them yearly. Keep a journal with your recipes.

Thanksgiving Day is an occasion to express gratitude, to gather with your family and loved ones, and also to feast. Although the preparations are extensive, it is important to end up with great foods. To help you get the best out of your Thanksgiving Day this year, we have prepared a couple of tips that will help you make better and newer dishes every single year!

The most important thing to do on Thanksgiving Day would be to prepare the turkey. There are various ways in which a turkey could be cooked. Some people prefer frying it while others prefer roasting it in an oven. However, to ensure that your turkey is as juicy as possible, we would advise you to roast it. You could also stuff it with some spices before roasting it so that the flavors are absorbed into your turkey for better taste.

If you are looking forward to trying out new dishes this Thanksgiving Day, then there are numerous recipes available online from which you could choose from. The internet has plenty of information about different types of cuisines that could be tried during Thanksgiving Day. It is important that you pick a recipe which is not only easy but also one which does not take too much time because it is not necessary that you have all day just for cooking food.

Remember that the holidays are times to reflect on what you’re thankful for, so keep a gratitude journal as well.

With Thanksgiving on the horizon, it’s a good time to think about what traditions you want to pass on to your children. It’s also a time to think about which traditions you’re going to let go as you and your family grow. One tradition I’d like to encourage you to keep is a gratitude journal.

I know that you may feel like there are so many things that need improvement in your life, and it’s hard to keep track of all the things that need changing. But the truth is that there are probably hundreds, if not thousands of things in your life that are going well for you. And keeping track of those things can help give you perspective when the going gets tough.

People who keep gratitude journals tend to be more optimistic and feel better about their lives than people who don’t write in these diaries. They also tend to be less materialistic, have fewer health issues, bounce back from adversity more easily, have more social support and feel closer to their communities.

Decorate with a theme! Use leaves, pumpkins, turkeys and warm colors to turn your home into a cozy autumn atmosphere.

In fact, I think every Thanksgiving dessert except pie is better than pie.

One of my favorite things to make is trifle, and it’s perfect for Thanksgiving because it’s light, sweet, and elegant. There are so many ways to make trifle. You can mix fruit into your layers if you want to I made one with strawberries, blueberries, and apples once. Or you could just go with a classic trifle recipe: pound cake, custard, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. You really can’t go wrong with any flavor combinations when it comes to trifle.

Another thing I love about making desserts for Thanksgiving is that there are so many autumnal flavors that you can use in your desserts! For example: pumpkin spice everything! People who say they don’t like pumpkin spice as a flavor don’t know what they’re talking about it’s DELICIOUS!
